The tractors, stationary engines and other farm machinery always draw a big crowd. Visitors of all ages are fascinated by the mechanical movements and noises, by the bright paintwork and the loving care that the owners have devoted to restoring and maintaining their ‘pride and joy’.
There are competitions for Vintage Stationary Engines, Farm Tractors, Ploughs or other implements mounted on the tractors, Fire Appliances, and other vintage agricultural vehicles. You’ll find them near the Livestock Show. Make sure you ask the owners about their exhibits, there’s a lot of farming knowledge and history to be learnt from them.
